Lois & I went on a tour of Rio Grande City with Joe & Jan from VIP park. We took a trolley around the town for about two hours. It was interesting to hear some of the history of this town. After that we stop in a little town near the river to see a barge but we had for gotten our pass ports. We stop to eat on the way home in McAllen TX at Loggan's but would not go back there again.

Well its been a while since I wrote anything in this blog. We have been trying to stay warm down here most of the time. The weather has been quite cool this year here. The locals here say its been one of the coldest they seen.

Lois & I have been going to different RV Parks to listen to the bands and dance. We do not have this back home in MI or we have not fun it there yet. I guess we are going on the Rio Grande River boat tour next week (will take pictures). Also going to Rio Grande City for a tour of the city next week also. We also went to where Freddy Fender is buried (the phones is on the grave stone. While we was at the site we notice a animal in the cemetery and was not sure what it was.

I got all of the jacks on now and do work. A friend came by and help me put them on.
We have not been doing much lately cause the weather has turned cold again. We did go dancing and did go down to South Padre Island to see the Kite Fest on Sunday. It was windy and a little cool but the kites were beautiful to see in the sky. We got there around 10:30 and left about 1:30. There was a lady trying to feeds the birds and Lois took a picture of it.

We got some great weather in the last few days, it feels good to see the sun. Been out doing some dancing at other parks with friends. Went to TOT (Tip OF Texas) dancing last night and going to see the Cruisers tonight.
I got the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer on the 5th wheel yesterday (just the fronts) will put the back on today if possible.

Its been so cold down here that we have not done too much in the past week. Sunday was a nice an some what warm day so we just got out and drove down to Brownsville so Lois could do some shopping. After we got back from Brownsville went to the American Legion and dance. Yesterday we went to McAllen to the HH luncheon. There was about 88 people there for the luncheon. After that we stop at Academy store so Lois could get some cleats for her golf shoes. Got back and check our mail.

The New Year came an gone and so did the warm weather. It is going to be down in the high 20's by Friday and highs only about 40 degrees, but it is that way every where. We have not done much since the weather as gone cold, but I did play golf yesterday and it was chilly playing.
I guess Lois & I will do laundry today and go to the store for some supplies. Joyce & Mel stop by yesterday to say hi and I guess we are going out to eat with them on Friday night. Last night we did go over to the neighbors and taught them how to play Peg & Jokers. We play till after 11 pm, women 2 games to the men 2 games (guess us men taught them).

Its a New Year 2010, Lois was in bed by 9 pm and I was by midnight. Did not see the New Year come in but did hear it. Lots of fire works going off as the New Year came in. Woke up this morning and the winds had shifted again coming from the north with more cold. It was about 46 degrees and windy again.
We went over to Mel & Joyce yesterday about 3 pm for some drinks before they went out to party. Chuck Munson stop by and so did Donna. They both was glad to see us and we them. We stay about an hour 1 1/2 and visited with them.
