Fall and Winter 2009/Winter & Spring 2010

Its Saturday morning and we are getting around so we can start heading north today. Yesterday we went to Florida now Lois can put it on her map. We sat on the beach for a while and took in some sun. Saw some Dolphins feeding and playing around while we were there. Could not get any pictures, they were to far out. We play cards after we got back with Jesse & Betty until dark.

We got started about 8:40 am this morning and headed north. The traffic going north today was bad. It seems that everyone had the same idea about leaving. We made it as far as Cullman Alabama and Jesse & Betty are some where in Tennesse. They needed to be home by Sunday afternoon.

We made it here to Gulf Shores at the State Park. Jesse & Betty came here with us for a couple of days. This park is very nice but we got here while spring break is going on. The ladies went shopping and Jesse & I looking at other place while we waited for the ladies to get done. Went to Micky D's last night for supper.

Yesterday we went to the visitor center here in the park and watch a movie about the park (quite informative). After that the ladies went and did some shopping near by. When they got back they had decided to have a picnic lunch on the beach. After lunch we all went to the casino (Hard Rock) to play a little. I left there with more money then I took in there this time.

We are heading out this morning for Gulf Shores for a couple of days before we start are trip up to the north. Looks like good weather all the way home this time.

We are still here in Ocean Springs MS trying to win money at the casinos. We made enough to pay for supper last night at the Pizza Hut. We will be here till Thursday and then going to Gulf Shores area for a couple of days. Here are some pictures that we took on the way here. Also a picture of a Gator laying in the Sun.

Lois & I arrived at Ocean Springs MS around 2:30 pm and setup camp. We are in a National Park near the Ocean. On yes there are plenty of casinos in the area for Lois to play. Put first we had to go and find the Wal-mart store. We met up with friends from Breeze Wood Cove in La Feria TX. We are going to the casinos today, so maybe just maybe we can win some of the money we spent in Victoria Tx getting the truck fixed. We will let you know if we win. Like that going to happen.

Lois & I took off about 9am this morning headed for Shreveport La. We made it thru Houston and was going toward Shreveport La on highway 59 and decided to take I-10 instead. The truck is running good, so lets hope it makes it all the way home with no troubles. While on I-10 we were behind a small truck and he was going slower than any of the traffic and had a blow out right in front of us. We had pieces of tire all over us and I manage to stop in time. We travel about 320 miles today and stop at a little camp ground near Fenton La for the night.

Its Saturday and we are in Victoria TX. About 75 miles out from La Feria TX the truck started to miss. We manage to get to Victoria TX and get parked. We are in the Lazy Longhorn RV park. Took the truck to the Ford dealer to get fixed. They said I had a bad injector and Fuel Regulator. After $2100.00 I needed a 5 o'clock somewhere. Got the truck back on Friday afternoon and we will stay till Sunday before we head out. Some friends from La Feria are here in the same park. Some other friends we know had a bad experience getting out of a gas station. They hit a pump barrier and tore up the back part of their rig. Its been an interesting few days. It seems that there are a few other rigs in this park are waiting to be repaired. Let me out of here.
