Fall/Winter & Spring 2010/2011

We left Glenn Oaks RV Park around 8 a.m. and headed for Texarkana TX. We got here at the COE Park (Rocky Point Camp Ground) about 5 p.m.. Our friends Steve & Susy was waiting for us and they had supper ready when we arrived. Now how cool is that. We will be here till Saturday and then on to Conroe TX and the HHI Rally. Well we had to move to another camp ground a couple of miles away from here. It seems that they have no sites available for tonight. Here are some pictures from Piney Point Campground on Wright Patman Lake. This is where we are now.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2010/2011

Well we made it to Glenn Oaks RV Park in Buckhorn MO around 5 pm last night. After we set up for the night I called Reggie & Amanda Davis our friends who are our neighbors in Texas. We met them for coffee and talk a couple of hours at a McDonalds.

We are going try and make Texarcana TX today to meet up with some more friends at Rocky Point Campground. We will be traveling together to the HHI Rally in Conroe TX.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2010/2011

Wednesday morning and we are up and getting around. The cats (Mittens & Friskers) are acting up and messing with Lois this morning. Its like watching a couple of kids doing there thing.

While I was checking my e-mail I had a idea so I e-mail Carol and invited them to come down to Texas for a couple of weeks this winter. Carol said that Don still had to work but my answer to that was that he needs a vacation before he retires. I think they are thinking about it and they don't even half to take their 5th wheel just fly down.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2010/2011

There is not much to say this morning. We are up early and will be getting the last thing pack in the 5th wheel. Will be leaving between now and noon. The first night we will stay a camping world in Greenwood IN. Well I guess I better get started before I get yell at.

Well we made it to Greenwood IN and are staying at Camping World for the night. If Don & Carol and Chuck & Vickie are reading this we will see you all in the spring. You guys have a great winter and try and stay warm and healthy.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2010/2011

Well its Monday the day before we leave for Texas and all through the 5th wheel everything is put away for travel. Went to the store to do last minute shopping. Got all the leaves pick up and grass cut. We leave in the morning after I blow out all the water lines and empty the hot water tank. Also will shut off gas & electric to the stove and hot water heater, except for the furnace, freezer and what lights we leave on for winter.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2010/2011

Lois & I was setting at the dinning room table when she realize that the Post Office is close on Monday. She had not got her priority envelopes so we can have our neighbor send our mail to us. Now we will have to run up there on Tuesday morning before we leave. Lois as completed the cleaning in the 5th wheel and all is left is loading it for travel.

We will wash the vehicles today and run to the store for last minute things we need. I think my brother and his wife might show up today. It has been a while since he has been over.

Fall and Winter 2010/2011

Well friends Lois & I pulled the 5th wheel into the driveway so we can clean and pack it for the trip to the Hitchhiker Rally (Conroe TX) then Coffeyville KS and back to the valley in Texas. I washed the 5th wheel so that is out of the way. Got stuff loaded in the basement so that it is out of the way. Lois is still cleaning and putting things in their place. We have had some beautiful weather here the last couple of days so it makes it easier to do what we are doing. I got the grass cut and leaves taken care of for the time being. Will rake the leaves one more time before we leave.

We went out to supper with our friends Don & Carol the other night so we good say our good-byes. They will keep in touch with us to let us know how things are up here. I also called Chuck & Vickie to say are good-byes over the phone and also to wished Chuck a Happy Birthday ahead of time cause his birthday is Tuesday . I said that we would keep in touch with them while we are gone.
