Little River Casino M&M II

Well we left Goshen IN and the PassPort America Rally on Saturday and got here in Manistee MI at the Little River Casino for the Michigan Mini on Sunday. There are 13 rigs here and we had brats and dogs for supper on Sunday. Today we went to Mac Woods in Mears MI and road the Sand Dunes and than went to the Casino. Here are a couple of pictures of the dunes.

On Wednesday we went to a Old House in Manistee by the name of The Babcock House. This place had a lot of history in it and a lot of old musical stuff. We was there for about two hours listening to this guy talk about it. He also lives in it. Also Lois got lucky and won $300 at the Casino and she was all smiles. Thursday will be a free day to do what ever. Around 2 PM we all got together and play some games and had pictures taken of the group. Most of us went to supper at the Casino after the games and happy hour.

On Friday we got things pick up around the camp site so we could leave, but first went to breakfast at the Casino. They sure have a great breakfast there. Got on the road to head home around 11 AM after all the goodbyes was said. Its always sad to say good by after having a great week with our HitchHiker friends. We made it home safe and sound around 3 PM and unpacked the 5th wheel. Tomorrow we will wash and wax the 5th wheel.

Passport of America Rally 2011

Well we are here at the Passport Rally with Don & Carol and a few of our friends from Michigan. We arrive on Monday morning and set up. Later that day we went out to eat at Ponderosa. Yesterday there was about 4 couples of us that went over to Shipshewana IN for the flea market. Last night we had a good supper at the Rally and Don Tersini. He is a one of the Nation's Premier Comedy Impressionist. Today is actual full day of the Rally. I think they said there was 340 rigs here. You can reach out and touch your neighbor.

Well boy has this been a busy summer. We are getting ready for the Passport America rally in Goshen, Indiana. We will be going with our friends from home Don and Carol this will be the first big rally for them. We will be meeting a group of friends that we have meet at other rallies. This should be a lot of fun. After the Passport America rally we will be heading for Manistee, Mich for a Mini Haulin Hitchhiker get together there will be about twelve campers of us another fun time. We just bought a pontoon boat and have been busy fixing it up and getting ready for some fishing with friends Chuck and Vickie, and some relax time on the lake. Life is good when you can spend time with your friends. It just doesn't seem possible but Oct 1 will be here before you know it. We got our work notice and we start working on Oct 16, 2011 at Amazon.com in Campbellsville, Kentucky. We will work from Oct 16 until Dec 23 and than head further south for a couple of months.

Quality Campground 2011

Morning everyone and how is your week-end going? Lois & I are at Quality Campground with Don & Carol and there Son Ryran & his son Hunter. We got here on Thursday and set up so we could get the jump on the week-end. After we set up we went to the Casino for the Buffet and a little fun on the slots. On Friday we went into town and had hot dogs at Bills Hot Dogs. If you want a great Hot Dog go to Bills. Don & Carol went to pick-up Ryran & Hunter for the week-end. Here are some pictures I took.

Summer 2011

Well here we are again just getting back from a Good Sams Rally up in West Branch MI. This trip was about trying to get through the week with out having any more injury to the body. Lois fell and hurt her back on Monday just before we left and I am in a boot trying go get my Achilles Tendon to heal. All in all we made it rain and all. Got back on Sunday around noon and will be heading out again on Thursday for the fourth.

May 2011

Well its been a couple of days since we been here mushrooming. It has not been good mushrooming here this week, we only found a few mushrooms. Don & Carol and us went to the flea market on Friday but did not buy anything. On Saturday we hunted for mushrooms and only found one. On Sunday we went and did laundry and then just laid around camp for the day and then went to Club 37 for supper. Monday we hunted for mushrooms and found very few. Yesterday we all went and had breakfast on our way to Little River Casino to do a little gambling. After that we camp back to camp and Don & Carol made up hamburgers for supper. We sat around the camp fire for a while before giving it up for the day.

Well its been a busy time since we got home. I have had a few doctor appointments and Lois has been busy getting the place going again and had to get the 5th wheel wash so we could go up north mushrooming.

We arrive on Tuesday May 3 and set up camp and then went to supper with Don & Carol. Talk to Chuck & Vicki back home and wish they could have came this time with us, but they are still busy with their move from up north. Maybe next year they can come mushrooming with us. Don & Carol and us found a few mushrooms. We are waiting for rain and warm nights. We still have a week yet so it may get warmer. Will write more later.
