La Feria TX

Well its been a while since I wrote anything so I better catch you all up on whats been happening. Lois and I have been to the flea market a couple of more times, and of course we have been the to Walley World a few dozen times. I help a older couple get there new washer & dryer install, so they had to take us out to dinner a couple of times. First time we went to a Chinese Restaurant it was good all you can eat. The second was call Lone Star and it was also good place to go. We all had their Baby Back Ribs.
Lois and I are playing Golf about once a week. She playing with some of the women here in the park and I am playing on a league every Thursday. We did not play last week because of thanksgiving.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here, with all the trimmings. Later the evening we had left overs, what a treat. Then on Tuesday evening we had Turkey Pot Pie for supper. I think we have had enough Turkey for a while.
That is about all for now. Oh we did go and find that couple we met on the way down here. They stay at a place call Texas Trails. It has over 800 sites there, and they have two pools and a huge hot tub that would hold more than thirty people. They also have a big wood shop there and a lot of more things to do. lt comes with a price for all those extra things to do.
We will try to write more often, so until the next time you all be safe and warm.

Looks like about a week left before we go on a schedule here.
Losi and I plan on going to the flea market today over at Donna TX. Need to get some gloves cause I have worked so hard that my pair are worn through. We may also try and find some friends we met coming down here this year. Well until I have more to tell well write more later.

La Feria TX

Well we left San Antionia TX and headed for La Feria TX, it took about five hours and we were here. We set up just behind the club house on Monday. The ladies that were here had prepared dinner for the group that show up that day. There was about a half a dozen rigs that came in. It was a good meal for us and had a lot of good conversation with people we have not seen in about seven months. On Tuesday Dennis & Barb ask if we wanted to go to the fruit market so we went and of cause the women had to stop at a Wal-Mart before we got back to camp. After we got back Lois decided that she did not like our site so we moved to another one and resit up camp again. This site is right up by the front gate but it is a nice site. We start work camping on the 1st so we got a few days to settle in. It looks like a lot of cleaning up since Dolly came thru and mess things up here. We will try to keep you up to date at least once a week.

Tunica MS

Here we are in Tuncia MS, its like a little Las Vegas. We went to the casino (Harah's). Lois lost but I won a little bit so I guess we broke even. Barb and Dennis also lost but more then we did.
We ate at Paula Dean's restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Its a buffet style and very good but a little pricey.
There is at least 9 casino's here but they are all spread out because they have to be on the river. Usually there is three together. Sam's town has a nice campground in walking distance to casino. Harah's isn't in walking distance. They have a trolley car to take you back and forth. We spent a couple of days here in Tunica MS. We left Tunica MS going west to Monroe LA to a passport RV Park (Pavilion RV Park). Traveled 165 miles today on good back roads. Spent a couple of nights here before we headed for Texas.
We drove about 329 miles from Monroe LA and stopped at I 35 RV Park for the night. Tomorrow we will go to San Antonio for 3 days than to the Valley. Was a good day to travel sunny but cool.
We arrived at Brauning Lake RV Resort (nice campground) on Friday. After we set up Lois & Barb did laundry. The next morning Dennis, Barb & I had breakfast at the club house. Lois stay because she don't eat breakfast very often. After Breakfast we all went into San Antonion for the river walk. We took the boat tour around the river walk. If we had walk it, it would have take all day plus. I was a nice tour. Also Lois, Barb & I went over to see the Alamo. It was there first time but I had seen it about 45 years ago when I was in the Air Force. After the river walk we stopped at a Wal-Mart for grocery and then went for pizza. Sunday we plan on resting before we leave for the valley on Monday.

Tn Good Sams Rally

We arrived at Good Sams Rally at 10:00 am. It was real close parking here at the fair grounds. They had a chili supper and entertainment the first night. The Fabulous Delicardo's was the name of the group that play. The style of doo-wop rock captures the essence of New York street singing style with a decidedly southern twist. They have good harmonies with humor for a great show. After the show they have drawing for prizes. We won a free on night stay in a camp ground in Georgia. The next day Dennis & I went up for coffee. Did not know they was serving breakfast too.
We just had coffee and talk to other Good Samers. There was one couple from Michigan there besides Lois & I. That night they had a cater dinner for us all (chicken). The entertainment for the night was a group that played country and the oldies. They were real good but don't the name there group. They entertain on the General Jackson in Nashville. They did not have a CD out but each one had a CD. This cost us $30.00 for four CD's. We left Sunday morning for Tunica MS.
