Fall/Winter & Spring 2011/2012

Tuesday Feb 21st
Its been a couple of weeks since I have wrote anything or had anything to say. Well we have been at a Michigan  Good Sams Luncheon at the Shrinners Club in Pharr and a Good Sams Rendezvous at Peter Piper in Alamo. Then there was a Hitchhiker Luncheon at Mr. Gatti's in McAllen and then a Michigan breakfast at Victoria Palms in Donna. It kind of looks like all we do is eat. I once was told it was all about food.

Well on Friday Feb 17th we had to put Mittens down. That was one of the hardest things to do was to say good by to her. It was best for her cause she had cancer and was not getting any better. She had lost half her body weight and was still losing weight. She will be missed.
 We also had a camp fire among all this one afternoon with friends in the park.

On Sunday we went with Myron & Sherry to La Joya to the performing arts center to watch a group of high school kids perform. We was there last year and now this year again and all I can say those kids get do one heck of a job in performing. I would go again to watch them perform. After that we stop at Logans in McAllen for a bite to eat. Some of the pictures I took of the performing arts was a little blured.

Saturday February 11 2012

Reggie & Amanda with Lois

Its been a couple of weeks since I wrote anything down. There has not been much going on but we did get over to the Kite Fest last week on Saturday & Sunday. We went with Reggie & Amanda on Saturday and on Sunday  Myron & Sherry went with us. Before that Lois play cards with the ladies from the park and on Friday her, Sherry & Lydia went to McAllen TX to little Mexico and spent the whole day shopping. Myron & I just enjoyed the quit time. Tuesday this week we had a Michigan Good Sam Luncheon at he Shriner's in  Pharr TX. We also had a Good Sam Rendezvous  in Alamo TX on Thursday. There was about 358 Good Samers there.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2011/2012

Saturday Jan 21st
Well this past week was kinda of quite, not much going on. The temps. where in the 80's most of the week but the winds was from 0-45 mph. Monday we went to Petco to get some treats for the cats put they did not have the ones we wanted. Later we went to Lowe's for some screen for the door. On Tuesday Lois did some more laundry and later that afternoon we went to Taco Bell with Reggie & Amanda. On Wednesday we went to the Michigan Breakfast being held at Victoria Palms Restaurant. After breakfast we went to the flea market and got some material to make a wind break. Also went to Lowe's and got pvc pipe for the wind break. But before that we stop at Petco again and still no treats. On Thursday Lois play cards and while she was there I went back to Lowe's for a couple of pieces of 10' conduit pipe. Now its Friday and we went to Ron  Hoover RV Show to see what was there but first stop again at Petco for treats and this time they had them. On the way home we went to Wal-Mart for some things Lois needed. Today is Saturday and we plan to stay at camp today.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2011/2012

This past week Lois & I went on Monday to a Hitchhiker Luncheon in McAllen TX where there was over 50 HH there. After that we went to Petco and Camping World in Mission TX. On Tuesday we went to Petco and HEB's (grocery store). Later that after noon we took Mittens to the Vet in Harlingen TX. She is not feeling real good right now. The vet took blood and give here a shot of antibiotics. Now every day she gets a does of Amoxicillin and Steroids. On Wednesday we went to the flea market over in Donna TX. While we were in Donna we went and seen Mel & Dee (hitchhiker friends) in Big Valley RV Park. After that we stop at a RV store in Alamo TX and went back to camp.  On Thursday went to the RV Show in Mercedes TX with Myron & Sherry. Then we went to their place and play marbles till it was time to go to the Good Sams Rendezvous in Alamo TX at the Peter Piper Pizza place. We had over 300 Good Samers there. After that we went back to Myron and Sherry place an finish playing are game of marbles. On Friday we went to Wal-Mart for some grocery and then back to camp. Was not there long before Myron & Sherry, Pat & Lydia came over from Welsco TX and the women went shopping while the men went and did men things. The Vet had called earlier and said to give Mittens vitamins also. So before we went to Wal-Mart we stop by the Vets office and got some vitamins for her. Its been a busy week this week. Almost forgot to mention that Lois did manage to get the laundry done last night.

Yesterday was Thursday and Lois decided that we was going to go to Wal-Mart in Harlingen TX for some things she needed. So we went and while she was shopping I went to McDonalds for breakfast in Wal-Mart. After we got through with Wal-Mart we went over to the New Bass Pro Shop. Here are a few pictures I took with my phone.

Fall/Winter & Spring 2011/2012

We left Ocean Springs around 9:30 a.m. yesterday and drove to Kinder LA. It rain almost all the way there.   We are staying at the Casino for a couple of days. I need a oil change in the truck and Lois did laundry last night. Called Roger & Barb and they will be meeting us for lunch at the casino today. Its is going to be sunny all day and in the 60.
Wednesday Dec 28
Lois & I met up with Roger & Barb at the Casino and had a great lunch with them. We must of talk for over an hour and then went into the casino. Roger went back home but left Barb at the casino for a while. It was good to see them again.
We will be headed out this morning for Texas. I think we will make Victoria TX today and then will be in the valley on Thursday.
Thursday Dec 29th
We made it to Victoria TX at their city camp ground and spent the night. We should be in the Valley around 1 p.m. today. We are here was greeted by friends that have been waiting for us to arrive, that was nice.  It took awhile to get set up because of talking to new campers in the park. When we got here it was 75 with a light breeze and not a cloud in the sky.

We made it to Gulf Shores (Foley AL) and spent a couple of days there. Mike and Sandra met us there and we took a tour around the area to look a R V Parks. We stop and saw a friend at the Escapees Park there. We also stop in Gulf Breeze R V Park and seen Greg & Judy. All six of us went out for lunch at Wendy's. Its always  good to see friends you don't see every day.
Lois & I left Foley yesterday morning around 9:30 a.m. and headed to Ocean Springs MS which is only about 90 miles away from the Gulf Shores area. We are staying in a National Park for the night and will be heading out toward Kinder LA this morning. We went to Hard Rock Casino and had a bit to eat and then spent a couple of hours in the Casino. No did not make a million not even close.
