Its been a long time since I wrote anything here. Lois & I have not done to much this winter. We went to a couple of flea markets and been going out to eat with friends in the area. We have had a good winter so far. Its been little cooler and little more rain than last year, but nice. Today we are going over to by Sarasota FL to the Amish community. Will I be get ready to go will write more latter.
Well we went over to the Amish community and look around but they don't have the stores like they do back in Shipshewana IN. We was going to eat at the restaurant but it was a hour and half wait so we left. Not much else to say at this time.

Avon Park FL Music on the Mall
Yesterday evening we went to Avon Park to listen to a band call California Toe Jam. They play music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. We met Larry and Bev there so it was a good evening of music and good friends. Here is a video I took of them playing. This the first time I use my phone for it. Not to sturdy holding the phone and some lady walk right in front of me. After the show we went to Windy's for a burger. Not a good burger at the one.

Wauchula Florida 2014
Well we took about 8:30 am and headed for Wauchula FL. We all travel together tell we got on I-75 and we split up. Charlie & Alene took the turnpike for Winter FL and the rest of us went on down to Wauchula to The Resort. We arrive here about 6:00 pm on Saturday. It was a 8.5 hour day on the road so we was tried when arrive. We just sit up level up and got electric and water hook up and call it a day. Now that we settle in we started our work camping job yesterday the 15th of Oct till 15th April.

Our Trip to Saint George Island Florida 2014
Well we are in Marianna FL for a couple of days so Lois can get some laundry done. We can not get into are site till Monday on St George Island.
We arrive at St George Island around 1:30pm yesterday and set up camp. This site is real tight and you can not see the Gulf. Our friends show up about and hour after we did and set up camp now Bub & Tinker are due in today. We ate at a place in Apalachicola FL with Charlie & Alene. You have to cross a lot of bridges to go from one town to the next around here. Its cloudy today so we might go back into town. Its about ten miles into town from the state park. Four of it is from the main gate to our site.
Bub & Tinker arrive about 2:30 pm and set up camp. About hour after they set up they came over and and so did Charlie & Alene. We talk for a couple of hours and then had supper. Last night we good get TV so we good watch some. Charlie & Alene came over and we play peg & jokers for a while.
Yesterday we went to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. The picture on the left is were they was helping Alene up because she fell down and had trouble getting up. We were out there for about a hour and half. Later we had Shrimp and Scalps on the grill that Alene had fix. That evening we play cards for a while.

M&M 2014
Well here we are in Essexville MI at the 2014 M&M and the weather is perfect. When we arrive here to are surprise Bill & Judye Teetz was park right across from us. Its been a couple of years since we seen them. While visiting them I had forgot to level up so I will do that today. Also did not put any water in the hot water heater. So this morning I clean up with cold water while it heated up. Must be getting a little old and forgetful in my years.
Happy hour was at our site because we had shade here. There was about seven couples here for a couple hours and then we all went to supper at Grandpa Tony's in Bay City. This morning we will be going on a free two hour boat tour of the Saginaw Bay.
Friday about 12 of us went on the boat ride down Saginaw river to the mouth of Bay for a couple of hours. After that a few of the others went to Hooters for lunch. I had to come back and level up the 5th wheel. Happy hour was at our rig and we had a couple of new arrivals.
Yesterday the ladies decided that we was going to Birch Run so they could shop till they drop. Jim & I stay in the truck most of the time. We did go to Bob Evans for a late lunch. Then we had to stop in Frankenmuth MI for some goodies.
Today is Sunday and its a day of rest for us. All we did was just sit around and relaxed. I did see Big Greg cleaning Mel tail gate. I not sure how Mel got him to do it?
We did go around and talk go around and talk to a few people. Around 4 pm we had happy hour and Big & Judy supply the Hot Dogs & Brats and everyone brought a dish to pass.
This morning Lois & I went with her sister and brother in-law to Tony's Restaurant for breakfast. We all got a pound of bacon with our meal and most of it went a to go box for later. Good breakfast but could not do this every day.
It's raining now so it looks like a all day and night rain. Yep it rain all the rest of the day and night.
Tuesday morning is here and its breakfast with the group. Lois & I are bring scramble eggs with ham in it. Greg & Judy are bringing Judy Muggles. After breakfast we set around a little and talk before it broke up. Lois decided we needed to go to Saginaw and find a Wal-Mart store. We got back in time so she could play in the games but there was not many people there. It started raining again around 3 pm and rest of the night.
Today we are planning on going and play putt putt golf. Well we did not play well at the putt putt golf. It was a tuff course to play. After the a few of the men and ladies did the Go Cart track. It was a blast to see
these guys having some much fun. Like being in their second child hood. We all went to North Point Restaurant just down the road for a late lunch.
Lois & I left after lunch and went to do so more shopping. Later on around 7 pm we all met around the bond fire. There was a few of that stay tell we could not keep ours eyes open anymore.
Well its Thursday and its a get ready day for are last pot luck and campfire together. Also some we are getting ready to leave in the morning. Some of the HH are going further north to see the Soo locks in the U.P.. We had a good get togetter this year again and hope to see are friends down the road somewhere.
Well back home and unpacked till next week end.

Wauchula FL 2014
February 5 2014
Well its been a while since I put anything in here. After having Christmas Dinner at Dave & Sue we had New Years Eve at the Club House. We had a small dinner and then we had a dance. We all was home before midnight. We really had not done much in the month of January. Went to Fort Myers with Dave & Sue and also went Charlie & Arlene. We did go to Avon Park to a musical in the Park. Good Band and had fun there with a few friends. We also went to Detroit Tigers Spring Training Stadium to get are game tickets and spent the day in Lakeland FL.
The other day we was looking out the window and Lois spotted a Hawk sitting on our electrical box in the rain. Friskers was also interested in this hawk.
The other day we got a call from a classmate of mind that they was going to be in the area and wanted to know we could get together. We met them over in Avon Park at a restaurant for dinner. We had a great time with Mickie & Bo. They live over in Cape Coral FL near Fort Myers.
Yesterday a couple friends that we work with down in Texas game over and we visited for a few hours and went out to eat. Bub & Tinker was supposed to have had this work camper job we are doing. Tinker broke here ankle and could not make it here.
Today we are planning on going to Bartow to the Camping World but first breakfast.

Today Lois & I went to Lakeland FL for a Michigan Good Sam Luncheon at Golden Coral. We had about
32 people at the luncheon.

Fall & Winter 2013 in Wachula Florida
Monday October 7th 2013
Its the day before we leave for Florida and all is well if it ever stop raining here so we can finish up getting things ready for winter before we leave. Today we take the car and put it in storage for six months.
Tuesday October 8th
Well this is the day we leave for Florida. We should be able to leave around 10 a.m. this morning. Left just a couple of minutes before 10 a.m. and arrive in Greenwood IN at the Camping World around 2:30 p.m. A lot of construction on I 69. When we arrive here the parking lot was full of units for sale cause they are repaving the parking lot. They did say they was thinking of shutting the electric off because of people trying to live here in the parking lot.

We was on the road before 9 a.m. this morning and drove all the way to Cullman AL. This is about 425 miles. There was a lot of construction on I 65 but all in all it was a good drive excepted for the rough roads on 65.
Thursday October 10th 2013
Left about 9:15 a.m. and headed for Florida. We got here at Quincy FL for the night about 4:30 p.m.. It was a good drive today with no problems (knock on wood). We think we want to leave about 8 in the morning so we can arrive early enough to set up and stop and see some friends before we get to Wauchula FL.

I got the awning out so we could have some shade here. It been in the upper 80's here for the last couple of days. Lois and I did go into Wauchula FL in the afternoon. There is not much here but it is bigger than Climax MI. We also walk around the park to see the lay out and all in all it is a clean park. Then we settle in and watch the Tigers play Boston last night and they won 1 - 0.

Yesterday was my first day of working and I got to say it was a tough one. The Temp was close to 90 degrees and the humid. First thing that happen was that one of the resident here fell over a water outlet and broke it off in the ground. The repair took about three hours to complete. When done I went and showered and had lunch. After lunch I was training on the pool, well, and sewer plant. The temp got 90 degrees here today and very humid. They the weather will cool off here soon and back down in the 70's. All in all it was a good day and Lois did some training the office also.

Well the last three days was my first three day shift. It went by in hurry. I don't think I am going to get bore. Lois and I are going to Seabring today and I'm going to stop in at the VA Clinic to register here in the State of Florida. This way my records will be here if I would need them. As it turn out I was not able to register at the Clinic but did later on over the phone to the VA Hospital in Tampa FL.
While we were out an about we went over to Lake Placid. They call this the town of Murals. There are more than three dozen beautiful outdoor murals depict the history of Lake Placid and surrounding area. As you stroll through the town, you will find many unique one-of-a-kind trash containers, which are all 
companion pieces to the murals. Here are a few pictures we took today.

Lois & I went up to Lakeland FL to visit my friend from childhood days (Bob & Pat Ledford and their daughter Abby). They have a real nice place in a gated community. We went out for lunch with them and had a great time remember some of the old days when we was growing up.

Lois Sister and her husband and us went to the Casino in Tampa for a couple of hours. Did not like this Hard Rock Casino, it did not seems friendly besides taking my money. After that we left and drove up to Tarpon Springs where they dive for sponges in the Gulf of Mexico. It was quit interesting about how they gather the sponges. I did not know that a sponge is a living organ. Off course we stop and had some pastries.
Oh almost forgot to tell you that on the way along side the road we saw two Bald Eagle sitting and eating something. Of course I did not have the camera with me cause I left it in the truck. Sorry maybe next time I can get a picture of it and some of Tarpon Springs when we go back. Oh yes we are going back so we can spend more time there.

We went up to Winter Haven FL to some friends that have a place there and had a wonderful southern fried chicken dinner with them. The last time we had this dinner was down in Texas 6 years ago that got us all in trouble (and that my friends is another story). While we was there they show us around their gated community. We also found time to play Pegs and Jokers with them. After being there all after noon we came back home in time to go play Bingo and Lois & I did win this time. All in all it was a good day.

Yesterday Lois & I went to Port Charlotte FL to the Best Buy store to get our computer fixed. Of course we had to leave there so they get work on. While there we look around the store and then went to a Khol's so Lois could look around. We are thinking of getting new phones or a i-pad or both. No matter witch way we go it going to raise the bill. Still in the thinking process with that. Left Port Charlotte and went over to Arcadia FL and to a Wal-Mart to get some things and then back to the park.

Yesterday afternoon Lois & I went over Dave & Sue and went out to eat at Cody's Bar & Grill to have a early supper. After we ate it was getting dark outside so we went to this community to see Christmas lights. Its seems that every year they have a contest on Christmas decorations in their community. We drove around a while and look at all the lights they had up. Here are a few of the pictures I took of Christmas in Florida.

On Thursday Dave & Sue came over and we went and picked strawberries. We picked 20 pounds between us. We also went out to eat after we got back from picking strawberries. What do you think of these berries?

Last night we over to the club house for a Christmas show. It was very nice and long with singing some Christmas songs. Afterwards they had punch and cookies for all to enjoy.
Today we are going over to Dave & Sue for Christmas Dinner. Lois is banking a apple pie and I made some home made bread.
