Home

Well Lois is happy we make back to our home base on Saturday about 4:30pm. It was a good trip back here from Texas, except for the outrageous fuel prices. Lois and I started cleaning the trailer out from three months of Texas dust. I must of had a touch of the flu yesterday cause I didn't do mush of anything. Today I went and met up with some friends at the truck stop for morning coffee and solve the world problems. After that went had the oil changed and fill up with fuel at $3.999. Will write more later this week.

Getting Ready

Well folks here I am again and late as always in updating this blog. Since the last one we have seen a couple of friends from Michigan that we met at a Good Sam Rally. We went out to lunch with them and had a great visit with them. They just got down to the Valley because he had surgery to remove a Kidney.
We learn how to play Pegs & Jokers, so our evenings are spent with four other friends playing Pegs & Jokers. We enjoy the game so much that we bought a set (are you ready Greg & Judye).
On the March 5 I went to Mexico with Bob & Anne, Lois stay at the trailer (she said she did not loose anything in Mexico). Bob had a Dentist appointment there, so Anne show me around Progresso. Not what I thought it would look like, it was dirty and run down, and a lot of people begging for this or that.
On the 10th went to a Hitchhiker Luncheon in McAllen. Give out alot of Haulin Hitchhiker Aps. to different members. This is the last Luncheon until December of this year.
On the 12th Ron & Fran from Canada (friends we met at the park) left for San Antanio. We enjoy our five o'clock somewhere each evening. After Ron & Fran left Lois & I went to Mexico with Barb, Dennis, Bob & Anne. Bob had other appointment with the Dentist. The girls went shopping while the guys had a couple cool ones. America stores should take notice that in Mexico the stores have a lounge in the back where gentleman can wait for their Ladies. Lois bought a bracelet for $1.00 from this little girl, and by the time she put it on there was a few more children trying sell their goods.
On the 14th we left the Valley about 10 am it took us awhile saying good by to all our new friends we made at the park. Joyce across the road from us, gave us a plate of home made cookies for us to enjoy on our trip. Needles to say they where gone before we stop for the day. They where very good and should have gotten more (ha ha).
The first night we stay in La Grange TX. at Sun Catcher RV Park. The park was in new ownership and he was in the process in remolding it. The next day we left about 8:30 am and got a phone call from Dennis & Barb to meet them at Paradise Park at Winfield TX. We play Pegs & Jokers for about three hours with them. The next day we left about 8:30 am, Dennis & Barb also. They left heading for TN. and us for Chanute KS. We stop at a Corp of Engineer Park, it was call Rocky Point and its located in Wagoner OK. It was a beautiful place to visist. Would like to come back some day after the leaves are out. After we sit up I got on the computer to check our e-mail, Bob & Anne had wrote to let us know that Lanny had passed away that day. Lanny was the park manager where we stayed. We had become friends with them and he will be missed. We left about 10 am to finish our trip to Chanute. We arrive around 12:30, set up and went to the factory to check in with them. In the morning we took the trailer over about 7 am and drop it for repairs. Spent the day homeless with Lois and the 2 cats in the pick-up all day with alot of rain. Was glad to get the trailer back so things could get back to normal. We will spend a couple of days here before we head out.
